Avalio
Peer-to-Peer Rentals

What is Avalio?

Avalio is a community-powered rental marketplace where everyday people can rent items from — and to — their neighbors. Instead of buying something you'll use once, just rent it. Instead of letting your gear collect dust, earn money by listing it.

How It Works

Renting is simple. Here's the full process from start to finish.

For Renters

1

Browse & Find

Search for anything you need — tools, party supplies, outdoor gear, tech equipment, and more. Filter by category to find exactly what you're looking for in your area.

2

Book & Pay Securely

Select your rental dates and choose a pricing type: hourly, daily, or weekly. Pay securely through Stripe — your payment is held safely and only released to the owner after the rental begins.

3

Pickup or Request Delivery

Coordinate pickup directly with the owner via in-app messaging. If the owner offers delivery, you can request it at checkout. Delivery fees are calculated based on distance from the item's location to your address.

4

Use It & Return It

Enjoy the item for your rental period. Return it in the same condition you received it by the agreed drop-off time. The owner will then confirm the return and complete the booking.

5

Leave a Review

After the rental is complete, you'll be prompted to leave a review for the owner. Honest reviews help build trust in our community and help other renters make informed decisions.

For Owners

1

List Your Item

Create a listing with photos, a description, and pricing. You can set hourly, daily, and weekly rates. Add any requirements renters must meet (e.g., valid ID, experience level).

2

Set Your Availability

Control exactly when your item is available using the built-in calendar. Block out specific dates, set recurring unavailability (e.g., every weekend), or block entire date ranges — so renters can only book when it works for you.

3

Offer Delivery (Optional)

Choose whether you want to offer delivery. You can set a minimum delivery fee, a per-mile rate, and a maximum delivery radius. Renters who request delivery will be charged accordingly at checkout.

4

Add-Ons & Attachments (Optional)

Have accessories or extras that go with your item? Add them as optional add-ons. You can set extra pricing per add-on for hourly, daily, or weekly rates — for example, a bucket attachment for a skid steer, or an extra lens for a camera.

5

Approve or Decline Requests

When a renter books your item, you'll receive a notification. Review the request, read their message, and approve or decline. You're always in control of who rents your property.

6

Get Paid

Once the rental is confirmed and completed, your earnings are released to your connected payout account via Stripe Connect. You can track all your earnings in your dashboard.
